Whats and Hows of the Smarter Balanced Assessment

K – 12 mathematics teachers and administrators are invited!

If you are wondering about how the Smarter Balanced assessment will affect your school, what it can/will be used for and how will it be implemented, the Impact Center invites you to participate in two consecutive workshops.

These workshops will provide attendees with information about and even some experience with the Smarter Balanced assessment. Questions about how individual schools can best implement the test are very welcome!

Location:  318 Hyde Hall, PSU campus, Plymouth, NH

Time:   September 12th (Thursday) 4:00pm – 7:00pm
September 26th (Thursday) 4:00pm – 7:00pm

The workshops will be facilitated by Dr. Scott Mantie, who is the NH state lead for the Smarter Balanced assessment. He is administrator of NH’s Bureau of Assessment and Accountability and is an adjunct math and business professor at PSU.

Participation is free of charge, but registration is necessary.

To register for these workshops please e-mail to Patrick Johnston at pjohnston@plymouth.edu by September 10th.

Please state in your e-mail whether you plan to participate in both workshops. The number of spots is limited and preference will be given to those who plan to participate in both workshops.

Certificates of professional development are available for participants.
