Public Comment- Title IV, Part A 2020-2021 Waivers

This New Hampshire Department of Education (NHDOE) announcement serves as notice to the public, school districts, and the Federal Office of Elementary and Secondary Education Title IV-A Program for an opportunity to comment on the NHDOE’s plan to pursue a waiver request from the USED with regard to flexible use of Title IV-A funds. Acceptance of a waiver application would permit Title IV-A funded programs to waive the following requirements:

  • Section 4106(d) of Title IV, Part A of the ESEA, related to LEA needs assessments for the 2020-2021 school year.
  • Section 4106(e)(2)(C), (D), and (E) of Title IV, Part A of the ESEA, with respect to content-area spending requirements for Federal fiscal year (FY) 2020 Title IV, Part A funds.
  • Section 4109(b) of Title IV, Part A of the ESEA, with respect to the fifteen percent spending limitation for technology infrastructure for FY 2020 Title IV, Part A funds.

All other requirements for the Title IV-A program will continue to apply.
